Tiny Thangka Green Tara Locket Pendant | Approx 1.5 in by 2 in | Nepal

This tiny thangka Green Tara locket pendant is perfect for wearing or using in a small portable shrine. The gorgeous beautifully designed frame is made of metal and the front is glass. The back is embellished with a double dorje. It includes a miniature printed thangka of Green Tara and the frame opens (as can be seen in the photo) to add additional mantras or images or blessed items. It has a small loop on the top so a necklace or cord can be added if it were to be worn. This locket is truly a unique item.

Green Tara is believed to have originated from the tears of compassion shed by the Buddha Avalokiteshvara. According to legend, she was once a princess who vowed to always be reborn as a woman until all beings are free from suffering.

She is known as the Mother of all Buddhas, as she is the embodiment of the wisdom and compassion of all the Buddhas.
These flags are especially good to hang to counter the effects of fear. Green Tara is often associated with protection and the granting of wishes, and her mantra is "Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha".
