Dharani Quilt | Liberation Through Touch | 78 inches x 41 inches | Tibetan Buddhist | Death Shroud | Cotton

These extremely sacred Dzogchen Dharani Quilts are made of cotton and have been created featuring a large takdrol in the center surrounded by eight Bodhisattvas. The takdrol was revealed by Rigdzin Jigme Lingpa and is called sogkhor or 'life force chakra'. The takdrol is often used for keeping around one's neck as an amulet. If placed upon ones heart center it can make an auspicious cause for liberation and benefit greatly at the time of death. The takdrol and mantras on this Dzogchen Dharani Quilt are considered Liberation of Touch which is considered one of the five methods to liberation without the need of meditation.

Using this quilt, at the time or leading up to the time of death, is meant to, not only ease one's time in the bardo, but to make liberation a possibility by helping clarify ones bad karmas and to create auspicious connections. Each and every syllable on this quilt is a product of a Buddha or an enlightened being. It is so blessed our minds cannot truly conceive of it's power. We are hoping that offering them will lead whoever is transitioning to pure complete enlightenment. The quilt can benefit any living being so it may also be used for a beloved pet at the time of their passing as well. For any deeper explanations it would be useful to contacts ones lama about them.

They can be hung or kept in the location where you practice but ultimately are to be used at the time of death. The shroud should be placed over the body as close to the moment of death as possible. It can be burned or buried with the body or used to wrap the cremation remains and put in an urn. This dharani quilt should never be used as a home decorating item or a curio like a piece of art work or as a shawl to wear or a chair cover. Please keep it in a place that is clean and respected.
