This Chemar Bo is a special ornately decorated shrine implement used for Losar (Tibetan New Year). It is a box used to offer Losar foods and is traditionally filled with (Chemar) roasted barley (tsampa) and (Bo) butter. It can also be filled with other types of offerings such as dried fruits and sweets. It is hand made and painted in Nepal and would be a beautiful addition to your Losar shrine.
