Black Copal resin is a gum resin harvested from the tree Protium grandifolium in the forests of Peru. When burned, it produces a quite pleasant aroma reminiscent of frankincense but with it's own special qualities. This resin is considered sacred by indigenous people and used as an offering substance and a incense that clears and energizes a space. This resin can be used on charcoal or in an incense heater.
